I am connected again!

Money Saving Tip
As I go looking for freebies and samples everyday, I used to pass up the ones I didn't think I'd use. Then it dawned on me, just because I won't use it personally, doesn't mean I can't put it to use!
I now have a "free sample box" where I put all of my samples I won't use personally. Some of the samples (most of the child-geared ones) you can put together in a gift basket for a friend (we all have a friend who's having some type of shower, beit baby, wedding, etc).
I wouldn't suggest putting a sample packet of toothpaste, that's in one of the little foil flat packs, in a gift basket, but lotions, soaps, and baby samples are great ways to share something with a friend! You look good and only have to spend a few dollars on a gift bag or little basket.
They're also good for hostess gifts if you're invited to a party and don't have a lot of cash to dole out for a snazzy gift!

Daily Time Saving Tip #1
Make a list.
This can apply to anything you know you have to do, but I'm talking about a grocery list.
Pick a day of the week to go through your house and make a list of things that you need, everything from toilet paper to toothpicks. Plan your meals for the week (all three meals). After you've done that, go through your coupons. Then go grocery shopping. Make just ONE trip to the store. Get everything you need that's on your list.
Going shopping just one time a week and getting everything you need in that one trip will save that "Oh no! I don't have any (insert everyday item here)!" trip to the store, wasting time and money.

Cooking Time Saver
When you're making a recipe with cubed chicken breast you can eliminate the time it takes to actually cook the chicken while you're making the recipe.
Ahead of time you can poach the chicken breast and cube it and freeze it until you're ready to use it. Make sure you are using freezer bags to place the cooked cube chicken in the freezer to prevent freezer burn. Then simply thaw and add to your dish. You just knocked 15 minutes off of your dinner prep time!

Quick and Easy Recipe - Mexican Cheesey Chicken
This recipe I had for the first time on a horse ranch down in Georgia. Not only is it quick and easy, but it can easily be doubled or cut back to adjust for the appetites in your household.
Prep time: 15 minutes Cooktime: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
1 package Your Favorite Taco Seasoning
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 a cup Water
3 cups Crushed Corn Chips
Preheat oven to 350
Poached chicken breasts in 1/2 inch of water in a covered skillet
While the chicken is poaching, in a medium bowl mix taco seasoning, cheese, water and soup.
Once the chicken is cooked through, dice into 1 inch chunks.
Place chicken in an ungreased 9 X 13 inch pan, pour wet ingredients over chicken, making sure chicken is covered completely.
Sprinkle crushed corn chips over entire dish.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Serve.
I usually make saffron rice as a side for this. It's a crowd pleaser!

Having these things handy and not having to hunt for them is a HUGE time saver. Remember convenience is key! Do this for all of your family members and you'll be cruising down Easy Street in no time.
You can knock 20-30 minutes off of the time it takes you to get ready in the morning just by having everything at hand!

Meal Time.
If you're anything like me, you barely have time to sit down and eat, let alone cook a full, healthy meal for your family (or even just yourself).
My tip of the day, prepare meals the night before, or even the week before. Do you have a day that you can actually stop and breathe for a little while? Use that day to plan out meals for the week, until the next day you have some free time.
By doing this, you can save yourself time and money on the days that you don't have time to cook. Several meals you can prepare to the point where that you just have to throw it in the oven right from the freezer when you get home and you're not spending money on the prepaid meals at stores. (Lasagne is one of those meals that can be prepared and frozen.) Even better, if you are single, you can put the meals into single serving sizes and have choices for weeks out of a full size dish! You're saving money and time!

How Do You Spend Your Time?
Do you know how you spend all of your time?
I didn't. Until we had to do an exercise in one of my courses where we had to track everything we did every day for a week. It amazed me how much time I didn't use. I used to be the ultimate time waster and I wondered why I never managed to get everything I needed to accomplish done. It's hard to admit that it takes you 2 hours to get dressed in the morning by the time you get all of your primping and preening finished or that you spent 3 hours on Facebook tending to your farm.
Once you know how you're spending your precious time, you can decide what areas you need to work on. By no means am I suggesting that you shouldn't have time for yourself, but you need to prioritize it in a way that allows you accomplish what you need to so you don't find yourself asking the question, "Where did the time go?"
Give it a shot, write down everything you do in a day, as you're doing it. Be honest. You'll be surprised!

If you have kids your life is full. Your free time is no longer your own, it's filled with trips to the store, trips to the doctor, countless activities, and about a million other things. If you have something you need to do (i.e. study for a test, learn vocabulary words, learn a new language) make it audio. There are several ways to do this. You can get an inexpensive MP3 player (find one here, or here) if your cellphone doesn't have voice memos, (or if you don't have one), and a microphone for your computer (you can find those just about anywhere right now). Record your chapter, vocab, or load your language and you're good to go, anytime anywhere, instant study time. You can listen while you're standing in line at a store, waiting at the doctor's office, anywhere your spending time waiting.
It's proven that it's more effective to study several short time periods a day. Any "spare" time you have you have instant study time!
